What kinds of lighting do you install?
Four kinds, mainly: recessed lighting, LED upgrades, accent and task lighting, and custom garage lighting. That covers most of what a home needs, from clean ceiling grids in a living room to a bright, even workshop where you can actually see what you are doing.
Good lighting is a design job before it is a wiring job. We start with how you use the room, plan fixture placement and switching around that, and then wire it cleanly to spec. The difference between lighting that was planned and lighting that was scattered across a ceiling is something you notice every single evening.

Is it worth upgrading old fixtures to LED?
Usually, yes. LEDs use less energy than the older fixtures they replace, run cooler, and last longer, so an LED upgrade tends to pay for itself in fewer ladder trips and lower running costs. It is also the natural moment to fix the things that have always bugged you, like a switch on the wrong wall or a room that has never had enough light.
Lighting work also pairs naturally with bigger projects. If you are opening up walls for a kitchen remodel, that is the cheapest time to add under cabinet and recessed lighting. And on a new build, lighting is planned into the wiring from day one instead of retrofitted later.
When should I call an electrician for lighting?
Call for anything that touches wiring: new fixtures, new switch or dimmer locations, recessed cans, or any light that flickers, buzzes, or dims on its own. Flickering can be a harmless bulb issue, but it can also be a loose connection heating up inside a wall, which is not something to leave alone. We would rather check a false alarm than miss a real one, and our troubleshooting service exists for exactly that.
What affects the cost of a lighting project?
Mostly the number of fixtures, whether we are wiring into finished walls and ceilings or open framing, and how much switching and dimming control you want. A handful of recessed lights in an accessible ceiling is a smaller job than a full custom garage build-out. Every project starts with a free estimate and a written quote before work begins, with no surprise charges.

Can you add recessed lighting to an existing ceiling?
Yes. Recessed lighting is one of our core services, in new construction and in finished rooms. We plan the layout with you first so the light lands where you actually need it, then wire and install to spec.
What is involved in an LED upgrade?
We replace older fixtures with LED versions, or convert existing fixtures where that makes sense, and make sure the wiring and switching behind them are sound. You get the same rooms with better light.
Can you do something special with my garage?
That is one of our favorite requests. Custom garage lighting is a service of its own for us, designed and wired to spec for the way you use the space, whether that is parking, a shop, or a gym.
Do I need an electrician to install a light fixture?
For anything beyond a like-for-like bulb swap, yes. New fixtures, new switch locations, dimmers, and any circuit changes involve live wiring, and miswired connections are a real fire risk. A licensed electrician makes sure it is done safely and to code.
